I'm looking for a hair straightener, but I heard that the electric ones (those you plug directly into a power socket) make hair drier than those that are battery operated... is this true?? Cuz my hair's very fine and very dry; tends to split a lot at the ends =(
Also, recommendations on brands of hair straighteners to buy please! Thanks!!Battery-operated hair straighteners or electric ones?
well im training to be a hair dresser and i think electric is definately the best!!!
also bio-ionic hair straighteners work really well although they might be expensiveBattery-operated hair straighteners or electric ones?
eletric
electric they work better
I don't even think i've seen a battery operated straightener, but maybe i'm not looking hard enough. I have an electric straightener, and i also have very thin, dry hair, but it doesnt dry my hair out. Before i use it, i spray a product on it by tres'emme, it's supposed to protect your hair when you use anything heated, like a blow dryer, straightener, curler, etc. I'm pretty sure different brands make the same product, but you just spray it on your hair before you straighten it, and it helps to keep it from getting dried out. :) hope i helped!
use an electic straightener but on a lower setting. most people turn it all the way up so it dries their hair out. also use a straightening serum before you striaghten it this will ad moisture back into your hair. also use a hot oil teatment once a month for added moisture and shine. use a thick conditioner when you wash your hair. to give your hair more body blowdry your hair upside down (bend over when you blowdry) hope this helps
