the best one is a chi for like $140. that's what i have and it's been the only one to actually work for my hair. its expensive but so worth it. just make sure you use heat protectant though cuz then you'll screw your hair up without it.How much does a hair straightener/curler cost on average?

for a good one...70 bucks. sorry hun. i think you should try the bed head tigi line. there tools are really good. they are 70 bucks a piece tho :(. they work relle well.
i would say between 20 and 40 for an average one. if you have pretty curly hair the good ones are probably around 100.
