pmsl i bet you look like the welsh bird on big brotherUsing hair straighteners is bad for you hair?
Pfft yes it is. I used a straightener every day for two years and my hair never went past my shoulder length. Now I never use heat and it's wayyy past my shoulders almost to my brastrap.

I would only straighten my hair only once a week and be sure to use a heat protectant like Redken Heat Glide each time I flatironed.
hair str8ners constantly rearrange the hydrogen bonds in your hair..so constant use does result in damage.. their are treatments now available such as the japanese Yuko so you dont have to straighten your hair=less damage..this si the best option but very pricey..
yes..straightenin can b bad of done the rong way..

alwez make sure your hair is completely dry b4 straightening..

and alwez use a heat-protective styling gel or serum...

do not use the straightener more than 2 times a week..

n then if u take regular care like oilin it n al..it shud b fine
of course straighteners do damage your hair with excessive use - but id reccomend you buy a straightening agent which you spray on before straightening and this protects your hair from the heat.....just try to give your hair a break every now and again and dont use everyday - only way to stop the breakages!
hair straighteners dry out your hair really bad
yes and no anythign that straightens your hair is bad becuase it weakens you hair by messing up your curl pattern. it's good t use hair straighteners becuase it helps us too look cute and have body in our hair.
hiar striaghteners are horrible for your hair. they dry out and burn your hair. you can get your hair chemicaly striaghtened, but its expensive and i dont know where you can do it at. if you straighten your hair use a heat protecetant
Using a straightener is bad for your hair, but if you get a REALLY good ceramic straightener it's not AS bad (because you don't have to keep going over it). Chi is best but very expensive. You could also try Helen of Troy or BaByliss. Also, make sure you use a straightening product with a heat protectant.
i use boots straightening cream when blow drying then straightening, and VO5 spray (it comes in a can) when going from dry. but most of the time i don't use anything, because my hair is quite fine and most products make it look greasy, especially the VO5 spray. make sure any product you use has a heat protection sign on it, or specifically says heat protection, otherwise it will be useless for the purpose you bought it for! Good luck, and don't give up...straighteners are great!
you shouldnt use straightners ever day, use a good conditioner and towel dry hair then apply a serum such as frizz ease to your hair which protects against heat damage
yes straightening your hair is hard on it...but if you have the right straightner and keep your hair trimmed often then it wont damage it that much..i have a CHI flat iron and it is great. ive never had much trouble with my hair breaking off or anything but i also use a heat protectant on my hair as well. good luck!
Your hair is not going to fall out just because of the iron. Improper care can lead to hair problems.

It's fine to use a straightener. Try washing your hair every other day or so to replenish the natural oils. If your hair is already prone to being dry, try deep conditioning once a month (it takes about a half an hour and is really beneficial).

Heat sensitive hair products may also help, but aren't necessary. I haven't used those much, and my hair has been fine. I also do not know many people who rely on those.

Also, consider buying a ceramic iron. It's better for your hair.
make sure u use agud strtner;cheap ones serasly dont always giv gud results and take agesssss sumtyms....

also m8k sure u use a good serum/hair heat protector to ensure u dont burn the hair out.

keep ur hair healthy n conditioned

gl!
its GOOD and BAD. if u have time to take care of ur hair after straighteningthen its good. Look at all the African-American celebrities, they look gorgeous with straightened hair. coz they have the time to deep-condition it, apply hot-oil to it and re-touch it when the roots grow. if u dont do all this u'll regret u relaxed ur hair coz it'll look dull, dry and lifeless, with split ends. the choice is urs
there's not really anything that could make the straightening better for your hair. just put in some hairmasks from time to time and use conditioner
