How often is it okay to use a hair straightener?

I have wavy hair and it bugs me and I just got a brand new hair straightener. My hair is about 3-4 inches past my shoulders. I like using my hair straightener and have used it for 2 days now, but I'm not good at it yet and I only can get the first few sections in the front. :S Please give me any tips on how to get the back better. And also I have heard of how it can really damage/fry your hair if you use your straightener a lot. How often is it okay to use a hair straightener/curling iron? Thanks in advance! =]How often is it okay to use a hair straightener?
If your sensible with hair straightening it won't damage your hair.

Its best to give your hair a full days break (including night) from straightening your hair. But if you can't for whatever reason.

Keep the settings on ';low'; and give your hair a good deep conditiononing 3 times a week.

Schwarzkopf have a good range in deep conditioning products and they really do work. Its best to leave the conditionor in for an hour with a towel wrapped around your head.

Its best not to blow dry your hair as soon as you've washed it. As it'll be prone to damaged hair, split ends etc

Unless you use ';low'; settings and take your time.

It's hard to get it in the back but keep trying, if you can ask your mom or someone to help you. And it isn't too bad to do it everyday, as long as you use a really good deep conditioner and some heat protectant serum. But on the weekends, if you aren't going anywhere, don't straighten your hair. Give a break once in a while.
Well first off, I straighten my hair every other day or so, i mean, my hair isn't damaged at all. As long as you go to the salon regularly to get the ends clipped off, you should be fine .Now, in order to get the back, and underneath parts of your hair, take a small section of hair from underneath, and clip the rest on the top of your head with a claw clip. when your done, let all your hair on the top of your head down, and take a bigger section. You should move from the back/bottom or your head to the top. if you have bangs, straighten them first, and leave them down while you straighten (:
i use my straightener almost everyday and my hair is fine. to get the back better maybe if u do it in front of a mirror , u can put another mirror behind you , you can see the back of your head alot better.

hope i helped :]
flip youre head towards the floor and let youre hair hang you can get it all and the back, or just pull the back parts foward. how often i dont know.
part your hair into sections. like pull the sides and top up to get the back, then let it down in small sections. it works a lot better than trying to get it all at once. and yes, straightening your hair can cause A LOT of damage because of the amount of heat. but now, they have plenty of products that help protect and fix your hair. just choose a product that protects against heat.
