Is using a hair straightener regularly bad for your hair?

I use a hair straightener like every 2 or 3 days.. will that make me go bald in the future or seriously damage my hair?

I'm a male, just to let you know.Is using a hair straightener regularly bad for your hair?
Yes it's bad for your hair, but you only see noticeable effects wehn you have longer hair and you straighten it 1/2 times a day without a hair protectant or heat protectant. Unless you have very soft, thin, or sensitive hair, it shouldn't hurt your hair very much. Try using a heat protectant spray, it keeps your hair healthier and shinier. Is using a hair straightener regularly bad for your hair?
It won't make you go bald but it can damage your hair and make it thin. Just look at celebrities who over process their hair-their real hair is gross and thin. I think you are only supposed to use a flat iron once a week or so. Try using a shampoo %26amp; conditioner that are made for people who use flat irons, hair dryers etc. on a regular basis like therma silk.
it's deffinately hard on your hair. It can cause your hair to dry up and break off if you don't take care of it. If you have to keep straightening it I suggest that you deep condition it at least once a week. Ask for help at the drug store about which deep conditioner is good and how to use it.
do you mean a flat iron or chemical relaxer?? If the latter you are lucky to still have hair. Chemical hair relaxer is the strongest product in the cosmotology industry. If you are using it every few days it isn't the right product for you. One and Only by Jerri Redding is the way to relax with minimal damage. Sally's carries it for normal or coarse hair. Get it
Not now but yes evenutally it will wreck your hair if you have a really good on elike a CHI

And no not bald, but you will have split ends and damaged hair
I use mine almost everyday and it dries my hair out. So just make sure you use a good moisturizing conditioner. Also you can put product in your hair to protect it from heat damage right before you straighten. Try Tresseme Heat Tamer. I have used it before and like it a lot.
Nope. Just ALWAYS use a heat serum. (i recomend Redken)

And if youve got a really hot straightener go over the hair FAST.. dont bring it down slow.. it'll help prevent frying and dead ends.

(: hope i helped!
OK, well i straighten mine every day and yes it isn't good for your hair...UNLESS. you buy a ceramic straightener which helps alot. or you can buy protectent. you apply it bfore you straighten and it helps keep your hair healthy and shiny.
if you keep it conditioned and have it trimmed regulary it will be ok never straighten dirty hair.
eventually your hair will get really damage and you could be bald when you get older or just have very thin and little hair
