What is the best hair straightener you can buy for under 30 dollars?

I have tried the Remington wet to straight which worked good for a while and I also tried the red Conair one which sucks... it like pulled my hair, and seemed like it was made really cheap-like, and like 5 min.s later it would be wavy and frizzy again. Can someone tell me one that works well that is not expensive, and can you also tell me how much it was and where you bought it?What is the best hair straightener you can buy for under 30 dollars?
You kind of get what you pay for in a sense; the generic drug store brands usually make your hair frizzy, and fry it.

Good irons usually run you about 80 dollars, and they can go all the way up to about 300 for a GHD.

I found that if your going for a lower budget, a Wigo is the best option you have:

while it's not going to get your hair done in a jiffy, it surely works better than all the other brands you can buy at that same price, like vidal sasson and Revlon. Its ceramic plated, which kind of helps the frizzy aspect of the straightener, but it can also pull your hair if you put too big of pieces through it.

You can also try the generic salon brands, like ZOE, which can also be found at ulta:

i know a few people who love them, and a few people who hate them, but i have never used one in hand myself, so i really have no personal experieince for that :)

Your problem is buying the cheap irons. WHat you've described is what the generic, cheap ones can do to your hair, so your experience is not uncommon. If you want a good iron that will actually last and not singe or pull out your hair then you have to buy something more expensive. Start in the $50 range and work your way up, but I recommend something more expensive than that.

Check out the Maxiglide. It has patent technology that helps your hair get silky straight and shiny in less time than your average flat iron. These can sell for less than $100 depending on where you buy it. It also has technology where you can put it close to your roots without it burning your scalp and the small brush/teeth that comes attatched is supposed to help tame the frizz that would otherwise just get matted down by an average flatiron. And, you just need to go over your hair once with it.

http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/ - you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere over the Internet, but this is the website so you can learn more about it.

you'll want one that is ceramic. It does a little less damage to your hair, and also helps with static/fly aways.

I have a con-air one that i got at a target/walmart kinda place. it was like 20 bucks and works just fine with my hair.

If you always have problems with your hair getting frizzy even if its been straightened, you might want to add a little gel or something to your hair before you dry and straighten it.
i HATED the remington wet2straight

it burnt my hair every use %26amp; was a piece of crap.

it didnt even work on my thin and straight hair
