Are GHD hair straighteners better than cheaper ones?

how much do they cost? Are GHD hair straighteners better than cheaper ones?
I love my GHDs and iv had about 10 different pairs of hair straighteners and these are def the best ones iv had...

Iv got really thick hair though so i need a decent pair of straighteners to get my hair straight.. if your hairs normal or naturally straightish.. i would recommend you buy some cheaper straighteners as GHDs do get really hot and splits your hair if you use them all the time.. iv got some GHD protection hair stuff that really helps though...

Also theres another pair of straighteners which have come out which are about the same priced 拢90- 100 (depends on the plate width) which are also supposed to be brilliant - T3 straighteners...

take a look - hope this helps xAre GHD hair straighteners better than cheaper ones?
They are definitely 100% better. They cost up to 拢100 but you can get them cheaper on ebay.
i bought mine for 拢140. they are better in the long term cos with less expensive ones u need to keep re straightening the hair to get it dead straight but with a ghd u only take 10mins max depending on the lengh of the hair, so it saves time and keeps ur hair healthy!

but 1 ul love it.
they are way better and you can get them for around 拢60 at the cheapest on Ebay!

but i suppose it depends how often u wanna use them and how straight ur hair is anyway.

=)
yea definitely

you can them from super cut on offer until Monday for 49.99 which is half price

i have just bought some so wow they r as good as they say they r
On www.pricerunner.co.uk, it says you can get GHDs for about 拢80 - that is the least you will pay, but for pink ones they can cost 拢135. They are better, but not so much better that they are worth this, and they get hotter than most straighteners so you can damage your hair more easily with them.
Yes they are...they get hotter than the cheap ones....a good one will run you about $30 on the low end...Go to Sally's, they have a lot of good straiteners
They are better for sure. I think they're about 拢99.
The difference between cheap and expensive straighteners is how well they conduct heat across the plate.

The pricier ones ensure an even distribution of heat, without any hotspots which could burn your hair so it's worth the investment if you can stretch to it.

I'd personally steer clear of GHD though - they had to recall thousands of pairs a while back because they kept bursting into flames.

Try the Mark Hill ones by Morphy Richards they're really good - they're a bit narrowier than others which makes them easier to use. Whichever brand you pick though, ceramic plates are the best for even heat.

Have fun!
Yep!! Cost around 拢90-100 but worth it.
Oh without a doubt - no question!! I can't believe that anyone who says that cheap ones are as good can ever have tried GHDs as once you've tried them nothing will ever match up to them ever again! I used to think my mums remingtons (which were good in there own right) were brilliant but i tried them after having my ghds and they felt rubbish in comparison.

They leave your hair looking like glass and feeling like silk - no exageration. Also very versitile as you can use them to flick and curl your hair effortlessly with a bit of practice.

Im not just on about cheap straighteners either - i've tried out some very expensive ones from competitors like the glass plated ones etc and personally found them to be to nowhere near the same standard.

Go for it splash out and treat yourself you'll never need to change them like with other straighteners so its a good long term investment!!
my friend has ghd's and i dint find them any better than my 拢20 Remington ones.
They must be, the missus thinks they are the best thing.
definently, i have thick wavy hair...not very curly and bought various other cheaper straightners, which took ages to straighten my hair and often had poor results, then my new hairdresser did my hair with ghd straighters and i have never used anything else!!! i bought my ghds 2 1/2 yrs ago and use them daily and they have always worked fantastically. I bought the ones for thick hair and they were about 拢95 then and don't cost much different now!!! but always use a hair protector lotion!!!
I bought the wide plate ones from Jason Shanky Online for 87 Pounds and there brilliant !! Their well worth it !!
I'm a hairstylist from one of London's top salons, GHD's are the best right now, as they are much better quality and easy to use. they can also be used to curl the hair as they're rounded on the sides. but watch out there are some rivals coming out soon which are cheaper.....
GHD straighteners are brilliant. I did love their advert too, the one that says: 'I will not use my God to pinch my best friends boyfriend.' As you'll know GHD is pronounced God, so they can't be bad.
There the same basically get the cheaper one,=)%26lt;3333
