My hair straightener makes my hair smell burnt because I straighten it too much. How do I get rid of the smell

I have curly, thick, wavy hair. I straighten everyday because I don't like my natural hair. My friend always tell me my hair smells nasty (like burnt hair) and I should stop straightening it, but I don't want to NOT have straight hair. Is there any way to get rid of that burnt hair smell, and make it smell clean and good, without having to stop straightening it?My hair straightener makes my hair smell burnt because I straighten it too much. Turn down the heat on your straightener and put a heat protecting product on your hair before you straighten it. You can buy them at the drugstore, the hair salon, or at Sephora. Pantene makes a good one for about five bucks. My hair straightener makes my hair smell burnt because I straighten it too much. How do I get rid of the smell
im l8 to answer dis question buuuuuuutttttt maybe ur flat iron plates r not clean? Wipe em down a bit when it is off and cool with rubbing alcohol and a cotton pad and see how much garbage there was on ur plates. Maybe thts why!

Putting heat on you hair everyday is very damaging. Are you even using heat protectant? Your hair is going to start breaking off if you don't taking better care of it. How often do you deep condition and do protein treatments? If you don't know anything about these things I suggest you read up on them, because heat damaged hair needs a lot more care than natural healthy hair. I also agree with another poster who said you need to just embrace your curly hair. Curly hair is very versatile and has a lot more personality than flat, boring straight hair. Embrace your natural hair!
stop using the straightener it will damage your hair and try to keep washing with a nice shampoo maybe the smell will go away
ok since no one else answered your question you can spray body spray on your hair and it will refresh it and make it smell nice
Your hair is going to fall out. Seriously - your hair smells burnt because it IS burnt. Go to a professional salon and have them help you find a hair style you love with your natural hair for a while or, seriously, your hair will start breaking and falling out.
