I bought these straighteners because I wanted a cheap pair to take on holiday. They're really great, almost as good as my GHDs and worth every penny. Also, the variable temperature control is brilliant as you don't have to have them so hot if you're just going over your hair quickly. They do make a bit of a strange fizzing noise as they heat up, but I've had no problems with them. I would definitely recommend these straighteners if you don't want to spend too much on a pair.
