.....Ever since my hair has been dull and frizzy..and i straighten my hair with GHD straighteners everyday, but i straight my hair whilst hari styling gel is applied on my hair.=/Is it Safe?HELP!I'm Male, I Had thick curly hair but then started using hair straighteners?
straightening with anything other than heat protect spray will damage it, the gel or whatever will boil and basically pull apart individual hairs.I'm Male, I Had thick curly hair but then started using hair straighteners?
Is the styling gel supposed to withstand heated products such as straighteners and curlers? If not, you shouldn't be doing it. You should be applying a heat defense spray on your hair first, then straightening, THEN putting the styling gel on at the end. Deep condition your hair once a week.
Your hair is dull and frizzy because you have damaged the cuticle with the GHD's. You should not use hair straighteners every day.
Hair gel isn't heat protected, thats your problem.
