Hair Straighteners - Ceramic vs. Non-ceramic? Cheap Suggestions?

I'm looking for a new straightener (I have a crappy Conair one right now ... need an upgrade), and am wondering the difference between ceramic and non-ceramic, and which one works better.

Any suggestions of straighteners that you girls love are welcome!

Preferably $40 and under.

Thanks!!Hair Straighteners - Ceramic vs. Non-ceramic? Cheap Suggestions?
a ceramic iron will give you more even heat distribution which will give you better results and is much better for your hair. as far as money, you really do get what you pay for with a flat iron!Hair Straighteners - Ceramic vs. Non-ceramic? Cheap Suggestions?
ceramic is better than non ceramic

i have a revlon straightener that wasnt that expensive.. i cant remember the price.. but its brilliant :)

search on the internet and look in the drug stores and ask a hair dresser :)
ceramics are MUCH better. and you can find them for reasonable prices at walmart or target. my sister got hers at Sally's beauty supply for like 50 bucks. all beauty supply stores have them too :)
Get the Ceramic. It won't burn your hair.

Get one of the expensive ones, the results will be worth the money.
CERAMIC is the best choice and your hair will not refrizz as fast non ceramic is for a temporary look but ceramic is worth it and keeps your hair looking great no matter the weather. And there are a few as cheap as 40.00 dollars. Just look at your local beauty supply store.
the chi is amazing but expensive...however, it is so worth any price. i love it:)
Walmart Has Great ones.
any straightener $40 or under isnt going to be that great. what you need is to splurge on a hair straightener $90-$130 believeeee meeee it is soooo worth it! i have the chi it was around $120 from amazon. this december will be 2 years %26amp; its still working great. im absolutely in love with it.
Ceramic rules!
I prefer ceramic, I think they get hotter and hold the hair in place better, they might even be less damaging. The head travels through them more evenly as well. Go to sallys, they usually have some on the clearance rack at the front.. try to get one with settings and do NOT make it too hot, you will damage your hair. I encourage you to use a thermal heat protecting spray as well before you straiten. Hope that helps.
OK FOR CHEAP AFFORTIBLE ONE GO TO TARGET AND GET THE WET TO STARIGHT IT WORKS REALLY WELL

PPL SAY THAT IT DAMAMGES HAIR BUT IT DOESNT TRUST ME

I ADVISE THE 1 INCH ONE NOT 2';. 1 IS BETTER

AND ITS ONLY LIKE 35 DOLLARS
ceramic is the best, and make sure you use a straightening creme so you dont damage your hair as much
Ceramic hair straighteners are favored by most people because they get hot quicker, stay hotter longer and leave hair smooth and shiny. Ceramic hair straighteners work well on even the most difficult to manage hair. They stop frizz and flatten even the tightest curls, often in about half the time required by other hair straighteners. While ceramic hair straighteners are often thought to be the most expensive, there are plenty of reasonably priced, high quality ceramic models available. To check out the bets straighteners go here:

ceramic does less damage, but usually they're expensive. at least get one with ceramic plated, i guess. i have the chi which is awesome but its expensive
get the pink skinny ones they sell at the mall.. they r great!
ceramic is better than the other one...

%26amp;, sorry to say, but straightening isn't good for your hair.....

i have really curly hair n wanna make it straight but i do not use any straightners.

in my whole life i have straightend my hair only once...%26amp; whatever you do to straighten your hair, please dont use any chemicals.

or you can try Herbal Essenses Dangerously Straight. i have not used it but others who have used it says its great!
