Anyone got kodo hair straighteners? are the ceramic bit on the kodos scratching off the plates?

I have Kodo's and had them for almost 4 years. Just checked them and no, they're fine. I love them, much better than GHD's, which feel a bit lightweight and tinny to me. I recommended Kodo's to my friend and she had problems with them though...
