Do hair straighteners damage your hair?

My older brother said that hair straighteners doesn't damage your hair. But I said it does. hoo's right?Do hair straighteners damage your hair?
hair straighteners do damage your hair. they fry it and make it look dead.Do hair straighteners damage your hair?
ALL heat products damage and dry out your hair.

You should always use a heat protectant before using your straightener. Also use a hair mask or weekly conditioner like Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask.

Some hair types damage easier then other. I have thin hair but a lot of it. So i can't really use heat products or else my hair gets dry and frizzy.

My sister on the other hand has extremely thick hair and straightens her hair every single day and doesn't take very good care of her hair but has amazingly healthy hair still.

You can't completely get rid of damaged hair. Products only cover it up. So don't start frying your hair completely. The best way to get rid of damaged hair is to cut it.
you are deff right.

your brother is big time wrong.

any form of heat damages your hair.

and of course there are ways to decrease the amount of damage you do.

but non-the-less.

straighteners aren't the best thing for your hair.

but, it doesn't really stop anyone from using them. :]
if you use it all the time

it could damage it.

but they have shampoos and conditioners

to fix damaged hair.

but i straighten my hair everyday

and it's not damaged at all.
Ya hair straighteners damage your hair for sure! If you buy the ceramic ones, such as chi's, they tend to be safer on your hair, but it still damages it.
yes it do damage your hair if u always constantly straighten your hair..or if u dont know how to use it properly..it can burn your hair..it really depends on how u use it also how your hair is..
