Hair straighteners, how long should they last?

im thinking of buying some new ones, as my old ones seem to of had it, i was just wondering say if i bought myself some ghd ones, how long should i expect them to last, i do use hair straighteners everyday aswell and (yes i know i should not)

thanks.Hair straighteners, how long should they last?
there is no real hard and fast rule as to how long ghds last. using them everyday should not overwork them. In our salon as you can imagine they are being used 6 days a weeks and 20 times a day. some of our pair have last between 1-2 years and others over 3 years. The good thing about the new GHD Mk4's is that you get a 2 year warranty now so even if they blow between year 1 and 2 you are covered and they will repair or replace them. most of the time they replace them so you get a new pair.

check out the following site which has some graet deals on ghd straighteners and is a approved retailer ghds.

go with the chi......i have the valentines day speical edition...that thing works GREAT!
as long as you take good care of them they can last over 5 years. ive had mine for 4!
If you are not throwing down it is maybe going to last for more than 10 years maybe 15
About 13.5 metres.
my mom has a chi (one of the older fat ones) and its gunna last forever and works great id say nay chi is worth the money
I bought my ghd's around 4-5 years ago and they are still as good as ever. I use them pretty much every day too.
It depends on the straighter itself and how you take care of it. If you buy your straighter at a salon it SHOULD come with a lifetime guarantee. Good Luck!!!
ive had my ghd for 3 years i use them everyday and they still work brill. my friends ghds broke she had thenm for 5 years she sent them back and they sent her new ones for free .so ghds are worth buying
you should expect them to last you for about two years if you use them quite alot ! i used to have them they are really good especially if you have thickish hair it will straighten it and make your hair feel thinner ! i think it would be a great idea but its your choice ! x
i've had mine for 2 1/2 years...i pretty much use it everyday too...and i got it from Walmart soo thats gotta tell you something...dont spend the money on a CHI because only last for 6 months to a year...if your on a budget seriously go to walmart..they work great i think..mine is a Conair (red one) orr if you want to get something expensive because you can i'd get the GHD..keep in mind though a GHD costs $230
I have mine done about every 6-9 months. I have natural curl in the back part of my hair the most and it keeps it nice and straight.

I love it, but I have a salon do it so they can condition it when it is complete soit feels better
well my remington's are just about to konk out lol! i've had them for about a yr but i don't use them evryday but my mum and my bro uses them evryday. so i wud say for a top brand like GHD atleast 18 months.
with any ghd,s you get a 2year guarantee after that it,s good luck
A chi would be your best bet their are ceramic all the way through so they wont break down they get really hot but the ceramic protects your hair and contrary to what someone else said they DO last forever i work in a salon and some of the girls have had their chi's since 1998 and they still work fine granted theyve been using them everday too just take care of it and if you do buy a chi use a heat protectant it gives you silky hair try matrix sleek look its in an orange bottle
id say 2-3 yrs !! and YES im a i use hair straightners every day kinda gurl 2 lol !! ive got the PINK ghd there Fab , best straightners eva!!
