In addition to all the other answers, somebody should point out the obvious from all those ads, that girls with gloriously curly hair are presented as orgasmically straightening it, and girls with beautiful willowy long straight hair are shown stewing in endorphins while curling it! The observable weakness of the human mind for greed over simply what ';someone else has';, feeds a huge industry. Conversely, ';anything new'; stirs up new neural pathways in everyone involved, resulting in more actual ';near-life-experience';, in a sea of illusions and assumptions taken root and seen as presumed reality. I think the best straighteners are at la beauty mark its a little stand at the mall. its a little more than 70 $ but you can straighten your hair, curl it, flip it out, and flip it in. The best part is for a whole year you can go back show them your receipt so you can get your hair done for free. they come in several colors.

iv heard of chi buts its lik 100 any straightner is fine as long as it is ceramic and not wide . if your looking for one that will make your hair silky revlon is a great one . you can aslo get a pretection spray by matrix that works great :D . i used it with the spray and saw a major difference i wasnt frying my hair

i have the frizziest, curliest hair and in about 30 mins my hair is pretty straight. and you can control how hot it goes, unlike a chi, so you dont have to fry your hair.

the ones with ceramic. I have the remington wet-straight one, its really good! and if you want pin straight hair use it with some anti frizz serum!
try some at drugstores or hair salons. or try chi straighteners.
