I must be the only white girl with an afro...How did we ever manage without hair straighteners?
I've ironed mine many of times in the past, but thanks to GHDs there's no need to anymore!

when i was little some of my hair curled out, some in and some straight! idk i'm thankful i have one now, I didn't even get it til i was 20!!! How did i not get teased in High school
My mum said she used to iron hers when she was little - imagine that!
actually, i don't have one. my hair's always been reasonably straight so i guess i'm lucky :)

b4 i started using 1 my hair wasnt poofy or curly





manby just a tiny bit wavy.





but ive used for a whole year now it usmmer n i dont staritin my hair at all and my hair is a but frizzzy poofy and wavy
dunno..but there are some right photos of me before they were invented!!lol
haha trust me you're not. i dont know what ppl did wayyyyyyyyy bak then without hair straighteners. without one my hair gets all poofy and the ends start to tilt. its horrible

When i did have hair i used shockwaves gell, it was so hard afterwards u could balance a Ford Escort on it...well it was the 80's.
I'm always thinkin what a mess my hair used to be...i'd style it with a brush and the hair dryer and it just refused to go the way i wanted...DAMN IT!!!!! lol

My fair was like poof fat, heh. Not that bad but it`s that I have a lot of volume on my hair. Haha but yeah I wonder too.
they use to tie it + there is always hair dryer it not that bad %26amp; they use to put oils %26amp; rollers
I know neither can i, but actually when i was younger i had naturally straight hair it wasnt dead straight but it was straight enough, but since straightening my hair it seems to have gone really frizzy or else i've just gotten vainer, i can honestly say i would have trouble surviving without a straightener, i no it really damages ur hair but i just cant leave my hair frizzy .
lol i kno a white girl wit an afro..lol people used to lay on a pillow with ther hair on it, then have thier friends take a real iron and iron thier har like if it was a shirt or pants. lol! but people started to burn thier hair off...so they stopped.
i got a crue cut so the only curly hair i got is......................................… yeh there
Yep irons. Im 13 and I dont know how I even lived without one. I never ironed mine, but I always wore it in a ponytail. Maybe thats why I never really wanted one until now.
LOL! My hair was REALLY wavy and frizzy, and it looks so much better straightened. I was actually only talking about this with my friend Jarem last night! Ahaha! Even guys use them.





They're the bomb.
They've actually had straighteners since like, Egyptian times. Weird huh? They were pretty crude, too. Learned it in my makeup class.
Before hair staighteners, people would use giant rollers or juice cans as rollers, to straighten their hair.
We didn't!


My mum used to iron my hair when I was a child; as I got older, I tried wrapping my long hair around my head when it was damp and covering it in cling-film; every anti-frizz serum there was on the market; even had wax treatments to relax the curls.


My hair isn't even that curly... but left to dry by itself, it would bounce up into little ringlets...and I am 53 years old!

Yes they are really popular ,however the style is changing to soft curls now.
My hair is poker straight, often referred to by my hairdresser as 'Japanese hair' but still need to use straighteners on it x
God I know, I have naturally curly hair and straighteners have been my saviour!
My hair is pretty straight and straightening doesn't make much of a difference.


I just use a straightening serum occasionally.
LOL, i honestly dont know how i got along without my flat iron. im an addict, but i am trying *really* hard to ween myself off of it.

i love my hair straighteners, i have straight hair but they make my hair smoother and i like to flick out the ends, only takes 10 minutes. best beauty product ever!
I don't know how I lived...all I can say is my hair must have been ****!
