Good quality hair straighteners?

I have wavy and semi-thick hair and am looking for a good quality, but not too expensive (preferably around $50-$150) straightener that will last a while because mine broke. any suggestions?Good quality hair straighteners?
Well I can tell you from experience a GHD is the best brand, but they are closer to the $150 range... Chi is the second best, and you can get them from $100 on up,,,, But for a permanent straighter, a Matrix opti-smooth is the best one I have used for white people. It is a chemical straightener, but can last from 3 to 6 months....Good quality hair straighteners?
well, i have a chi, and i use it everyday for the past, ooh maybe 4 years, and i have gone through 3 i do not recommend spending 150$ on a chi straightener when a FHI is just as good, if not better, and does the same job for 50 $ less.

a chi is the best one i've used

i had a jilbere (i think thats how its spelled) and although it kept my hair very straight it really fried it

i haven't had as much trouble with my CHI at all and honeslty i love it, i have wavey hair that doesn't really like to do anything lol and its really thick as well and it works really really well!
SEDU, check out this site: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_d1/a> Read up on the info, check the pics and vids and make sure and go to the very bottom of the site where it says ';read all customer reviews';. Hope this helps and good luck!
A CHI!

i had a conier, but that broke in less than a year.

i've now had my chi for nearly 2 years, and it's in GREAT condition.
chi is the best!! Definitely worth your money. look for some on ebay or buy a new one, it will probably about 100 to 150. :]
