What's the best hair straighteners you can get for guys with medium length hair?
I heard the thin GHD's have no temperature setting, and Chi's break a lot.

Hmm, since you are guy and don't have that long of hair, I would recommend a thinner iron not a smaller. However, from reading your description I will assume you want an adjustable heat setting, so mini flat irons are out of the question. Mini flat irons usually have only one heat setting.
I would recommend the Solia 3/4 inch flat iron. This is a versatile flat iron, that can easily get roots, and is a regular size iron, but it has thinner plates.
