I have been using GHDs for ever! my hair is very brittle at the front and snapping off, i have starting pinning it back now as to not straighten it everyday, but have been looking at some of the newer flat irons on the market. The ones i seem to be seeing the most are chi and T3...am looking for any reviews from people who have used these and if possible how they compare to the ghds, as far as ability to straightne and if hair condition has improved? thanks for lookingHair straighteners?
I have been using the MaxiGlide for about two years. I have VERY LONG VERY THICK VERY CURLY hair. I used to never be able to straighten my hair. And even when I tried it took hours and it still was a frizzy mess. I saw an infomercial about Maxi one day and then I read up about it on the internet. I figured I’d try it because it was pretty inexpensive compared to other flat irons I had bought. After I got it I could not believe how straight and smooth and shiny my hair was. I didn’t even have to blowdry it. I just washed it. Let it dry, and then it took 30 minutes to straighten all of my hair. It comes with a DVD to show you everything you need to know. It has pins on the ceramic that combs your hair as you straighten it, and it has ridges on the outside so you can curl your hair as you straighten it. Also, it has a thing that you put water in so you can infuse steam into your hair to keep it moisturized and shiny. I can not say enough about this flat iron. It is the BEST I have ever used. I have bought one for my 12 year old sister because she loves it too. If you do wind up trying it, please leave some feedback so I know how much you loved it Oh, and on the website they have packages that you can buy with other products. The miniglide it great for bangs, but don’t try the curlers, they don’t work. Any of the stying products are great. I use TexMax (it’s like a pomade) and Beyond Straight (makes your hair super shiny) and The End (it is a silicone protector to work through the ends of your hair to keep them from getting brittle).Hair straighteners?
If you're willing to pay for a chi, get a Sedu instead. Folica.com has all the reviews and rated the best flat iron. I use it and has had it 3 years going to 4 years and it's still the best thing ever. My hair looks great and never dry or brittle. =]
Any flat iron with conditioning ceramic would be great for your hair.. Also, be sure to use a heat protectant before you straighten it each time.
