Will costly and expensive hair straighteners only work for nice hair or anything with 拢 20 will work?

I have some advice that might help you!

Okay, I have been researching hair straighteners for like 3 weeks straight. You need to decide for yourself but here are the top brands: Sedu and ghd. I know you may have NEVER heard of ';Sedu'; because it is sold exclusively through the world's largest online beauty store. Folica.com

You need to look for one with:

*** Toumaline technology (hair naturally produces positive ions, but toumaline produces extra negative ions and therefore smooths the hair cuticle and means less damage is done)

*** So look for a ceramic (NOT cermaic coated, it has to be all ceramic) plate straightener with Tourmaline infused into the plates.

I e-mailed ghd and they do NOT use toumaline (t-or-ma-line). Also they do not have adjustable heat settings so it remains at a constant high temperature which is NOT good for all hair types.

***So look for adjustable temperature.

*** A good straightener (or ';flat iron';) goes to minimum 200 degrees Celcius.

*** A swivel cord so that it doesn't get tangled and annoy you while straightening.

-I have heard that the brand 'CHI' is VERY BAD, some have CAUGHT on FIRE!! (Seriosuly).

All the best :-) P.s. Im getting a Sedu. Will costly and expensive hair straighteners only work for nice hair or anything with 拢 20 will work?
GHD's (good hair days) they are one of the best makes ad one of the expensive. They are used by most hairdressers and can straighten or curl. They are very good. They cost about 拢120 online but if you buy inb hairdresers they will charge you 拢100 or 拢80 if you hand in your old straightners.T3s are also used by hairdressers and are even better then GHDs but more expensive about 拢150. I had them for about 2yrs are they were brill. Im buying new ones at the moment and I think I will T3s again. However, Babyliss are priced quite good and they are brill too. it is besst to get the hottest hair strightners if you are buyin cheap see if you can get over 230c as they will work better. Will costly and expensive hair straighteners only work for nice hair or anything with 拢 20 will work?
As long as they are ceramic...and go up to 200 degrees.

They only straighteners I had trouble with were some tesco value ones (They still worked, but I have REALLY thick curly hair)

So yeah if you get a good branded 拢20 model it should be fine. Babyliss do a good set for about 拢25.

(But I do have GHDS now, you cant beat them!)

EDIT : GHD's (Stands for Good Hair Day) are ceramic hair straighteners sent down by god himself lol. They are AMAZING. But they cost about 拢130. Worth it though. Website:

Dont buy any from the official website though if you are going to get some. Shop around online, and in shops.
GHD's are AMAZIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGGGGG they work like a dream though are very expensive, you can get them online.

Though I have very thick hair and I have this really cheap hair straightner which is like 拢15 and works a trea. If your on a budget buy remington they're amazing too.
GHD's are the best hairstraighteners by far. i spent many years trying to get my hair straight with the cheaper versions and nothing kept my hair straight until i tried the GHD's. Expensive but well worth it.
Hi i have remington straightners and they only cost 拢18 and there wicked. I got them from argos. GHD make your hair rely dry x
Doesn't matter how much you spend as long as they are cereamic and can get REALLY hot. Don't use them until they are red hot other wise it doesn't work
Ceramic Straightners that get to 200 degrees
