What is the difference between thin and thick hair straighteners?

just wondering - what is the difference between the thick hair straighteners (about 3 inches) and the thin hair straighteners (about 1 inch). are there different purposes or results ?What is the difference between thin and thick hair straighteners?
Usually the thin ones can also CURL your hair.





The thicker ones can straighten your hair ';faster'; I guess but they work the same.

thin ones are thinner obviously, and you can also curl your hair with them, and the thick ones are usually cheaper, and its also faster to use thin ones.


i recomend the thin one, but the best brand is chi, they are usually around 120 dollars, but they are REALLY good
When I'm getting ready everyday I'll use my big straightener UNLESS I decided to flat iron my bangs, in which case I'd use a small one. I'd burn myself if I used the big one on my bangs!
