Relaxers VS Hair Straighteners: Which Does More Damage?

I have naturally curly, black hair.Im half asian and half black if that makes any difference. My hair is thick but ya know...asianish.oh and i straighten my hair and it lasts about 2 days, i only straighten it once a month. for the past year.

So yeah: Relaxers VS Hair Straighteners: Which Does More Damage?Relaxers VS Hair Straighteners: Which Does More Damage?
both damage hair in completely different ways unless you take the precautions to prevent it!

Relaxers are very harsh to the hair and should never be put on colour treated hair or at home as both could have the worst result you could imagine (burns, allergic reaction even loosing all your hair) but if you get it done in an afro-Caribbean specialist hair salon you will be fine as long as they have been fully trained with the products don't be afraid to ask!

then you've got the more convenient option of hair straighteners which don't carry as many risks but you still need to be very careful!

NEVER use straighteners on wet hair or on hair that has just been coloured(as the colour will fade)

only use them occasionally

and Always protect the hair with a heat defence spray:)Relaxers VS Hair Straighteners: Which Does More Damage?
honestly i think straightners do more damage. relaxers help the hair. it RELAXES it and makes it soo much easier and more managable. relaxers make it easier for it to be flat ironed in the first place. w/ out a relaxer, you have to go over each section of hair so many more times for it to even get straight
