Can you take hair straighteners to hospital with you?

just wondering whether to pack them or not, im 33 weeks preggy %26amp; not sure if you can take them or notCan you take hair straighteners to hospital with you?
He hee..thats the kinda thing i'd worry about!!Can you take hair straighteners to hospital with you?
sure you can,But after giving Birth I am sure you are not going t feel like doing anything to your hair.Trust me on this I gave Birth 3 times.
lol!,nope dont bother!..my idea of a natural labour is no makeup!lol.but really!,there are always worse looking women than yourself so really please dont worry!.and if its 4th like me you should know this already
I am pretty sure you can. But in your case, your not really going to be having to worry about looking pretty. Usually your stay in the hospital is like 2-3 days.
Trust me, you will not really care much about the state of your hair. You probably can take them, but there may not be anywhere to plug them in, if they are gas operated you can probably take them, but the more you take, the more can get stolen. Your hair will be the least of your worries, you are likely to be pretty tired after labout and constant feeding and changing.
you can but you wont want to use them.
So obviously this is your first baby. Ha ha. I'm sure you can take them, but why would you? You're going to be tired and in pain and you're supposed to be resting while you're there, not in the bathroom primping for 45 minutes every morning... just kiss your flat iron good-bye, my dear. You are not going to have time for it for many months, if ever again. Start preparing yourself for this reality now.
So, this is yr 4th baby %26amp; you're still worried about your hair? I would suggest that doing your hair will be the least of your worries when baby arrives.
This must be your first child...like you'll have time in the hospital to straighten your hair!! or ever again for that matter!!
I went in hospital with curly hair and then one taste of hospital food and all my curls vanished! true.....My mum brought me in some spongy curlers!!
Hehe - good for you!

Not sure you are allowed them though because they generally don't let you have anything you can plug in in case it blows up.

I had my (first) baby at home and within 10 hours of him being born I washed my hair AND straightened it and those first photos of me that went out had me looking nice, not like death warmed up in a nightie!

I reckon about 300 people saw that photo so I was very glad I straightened my hair!

Good luck with your baby.
You can...I packed all that stuff. Never used it.. haha.. Upon leaving, I hobbled into the shower with much discomfort.. I threw my hair in a ponytail, tried my best to put a little makeup on.. and was ready. I was too concerned with getting the baby ready.. plus I was exhausted! I think its hospital policy to not let you sleep longer than 15 mins.. and I couldn't stand for any longer than 5 min. I hope you don't have a hard labor.. but I don't think you'll have the energy to do your hair. You will have just have had a baby..haha.. Enjoy the time with your baby and rest up.. Once you are holding that baby in your arms, nothing else will matter but getting them home safely and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital. Besides, you will have a beautiful new mommy glow!! No need to have your hair all done up. And you will have time to do your hair later... not in the first few weeks... they are going to be rocky.. but after about the first month you'll have time to do all that stuff.. Not all moms have to look frumpy.. haha just kidding...but its okay to be the first few weeks, you need sleep and lots of rest in order to heal and be a good mommy!!...Congrats!!
leave them at home,

hospitals dont alow electricals to be used because they have to be tested by their own electricitions and passed as safe for use, i know because my son had a tomie tippie breathing monator (my son was in special care for a week at birth then again a 7 weeks, breathing being one of the issues) and they were funny about me using it, needless to say my sons life came befor their rules so i used it anyhow

good luck
Are you really going to feel like straightening your hair? I would leave them. You are going to have a new baby...spend the time with the little one, friends and family. Good luck!

**Thought I might add, this is like a free ticket to look as crappy as you want and not worry about a thing. And nobody will judge you. Cause you just had a BABY!!
I'm guessing you're talking about flat irons??? I don't see why you shouldn't be able to take them. You can always pack them then ask when you get there.
I doubt it, and I honestly wouldnt bother - youll be way too tired to do anything! Im sure you're hair wont be that bad!

p.s. good luck!!!
