I'm trying to use my hair straightners less because they are drying out my hair. I use them really to get the freshly washed 'puffiness' out - what else can I do?Alternatives to using hair straighteners?
Like everyone else has said, I would try some kind of heat-protecting serum and then blow dry your hair straight. This video should help with the drying: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-blow-dry-hair-straight
Also, have you tried showering at night and blow drying your hair before bed? I've found that when you wake up in the morning, most (if not all) of the puffiness will be gone after you've slept on your hair.Alternatives to using hair straighteners?
blow dry ur hair straight with a big round brush and put heat protect spray on it
although i've got straight hair, still i love having that super straight shiny hair. I've tried what they call ';magic straight'; it's really popular in korea, so why don't u ask around about it. It makes your hair really straight and shiny not dry at all, it's a bit pricey, but totally worth it. It could last for 3months, but i think it depends on what kind of hair you've got.
yes i am a guy buttt
you get a protecting serum that you apply before you straighten your hair.
look up ghd's website
they have heaps of products to use with straighteners and you wont have a prob straightening! :)
use a heat protector spray to fix that,
all i can suggest is blow drying straight, but that will dry it out as well, so go with a protecting spray
blow dryer
You can try gel or oil, but that would make your hair look greasy. You can use a hair dryer with the right brush.
You could either blow dry it, putting a straightening serum in it. You could also get your hair chemically straightened at a hairdresser (I wouldn't suggest it personally)
try Bedhead control freak extra extra straight - you can buy it from lots of salons.
:)
Let it dry naturally, other products will also dry out your hair.
