How to use hair straightener after using heat protectant?

I know that we are supposed to use heat protectant spray before using hair straightener, but I also read that we should not use straightener on wet hair. Am I supposed to wait till the hair is dry again after using heat protectant spray?



Also, any recommendations on protectant spray? I have very wavy and frizzy hair.

To properly protect your hair when straightening, you are supposed to straighten your hair when it is completely dry. Also, before each section of hair you iron, spritz it with a squirt of protectant. It's kind of a pain because it takes longer, but it's the only way to fully protect your hair.

It's not the same when you spray all of your hair and then iron. :]

I have two reccomendations. My favorite is Biolage Thermal Spray. It makes my hair really silky while protecting. Or Tresemee's Heat Protecting spray. Both work really well, so you can't go wrong.
