How do you make your hair not stick up after using your hair straightener?

When i use my hair straightener my short little hairs stick up straight and it looks REALLY weird. How do you prevent that ?How do you make your hair not stick up after using your hair straightener?
I just use some water.. if i have to, ill let it sit in a bobby pin for a couple min.. otherwise spend the money on hair wax or hairspray that doesnt make your hair hard.. (only use a tiny bit of hair wax) How do you make your hair not stick up after using your hair straightener?
if you dont mind getting your fingers almost burnt.. haha... after you run the straightner over the hair hold it down with your fingers. its what i do cuz i have strays.





or just use a lil bit of your hand grease. haha.


hairspray works too. again, use your hand to hold it down til it dries
hairspray that doesn't make your hair hard
