Good and 'smooth' yet inexpensive hair straighteners?

I used Vidal Sassoon but the ceramic plating started to scratch off, and they were really ... rough to use. My friend's ghds are a lot smoother, but I haven't got a hundred pounds.

Sixty is probably my max.

Thanks, guys.Good and 'smooth' yet inexpensive hair straighteners?
remington t-studio straighteners are what i use and ive had it for at least a year and a half. its probably like $50, but definitely worth what you pay for.

i was using a really small vidal sassoon and i hated it. i stopped using it after like two weeks.

hope this helps! :)Good and 'smooth' yet inexpensive hair straighteners?
before i bought my hair straightner, i've searched the internet a lot, but every brand is advertising their own product as if it would be the best, so that didn't help. but a friend of mine suggested one, and i bought it- it is AMAZING!

BRAUN Satin Hair (unique satin icon conditioning)

you can use it to straighten your hair, but also to make your hair wavy or curly! it's really practical and useful..

you can adjust the temperature as you wish, according to your hair type. also, it really isn't expensive! i didn't even need to beg my mom to buy it for me :)

it's great, and i suggest it to every1.
I can't afford GHDs either! But recently I bought CHIs, they're made by the same company, but aren't as expensive and pretty much the same thing. They were about 拢45 but I got them for 拢35. They are the best straighteners I have ever used...EVER. I doubt I'll ever even upgrade to GHDs...these are amazing.

If not, just pop into your local Sally's and ask for a hand. They're really friendly and will help you out the best they can. Not to mention they have a huge sale!
CHI and Babyliss are the way to go. Check out ULTA.com, they often have sales on these things. Every week, they also put out a $3.50 off your purchase of $10+ coupon, and once a month or so they do a 20% off your purchase.

Also, check out other sites like Retailmenot.com in case you find a straightener elsewhere. Retailmenot is a site where people post their promo codes publicly for everyone to use.
Sally Beauty has alot of low cost good flat irons. I have their GVP and it works great. It has ceramic plates. They say it compares to a CHI. Oh, and they come in some really cool colors and designs!
