What are some good brands of Hair Straighteners?I need something that will straighten out ';Wavy';hair. My hair isn't super curly....it's just well...Wavy. I want a straightener thats gonna make my hair super straight. What are some good brands of Hair Straighteners?
Revelon is a good oneWhat are some good brands of Hair Straighteners?
I like the ION, GVP chi, or Ceramic Tools (jilbere), all three of which can be bought at Sally Beauty Supply. They are are the quality of the very expensive CHI and other pricey flat irons, but run from about $35-$90. I have super long, wavy/curly, very very thick hair, and walmart flat irons wouldn't do it, not at all. All three of the ones I mentioned above do a fantastic job, and quickly. My hair is stick straight after using them, and since their so much better for you hair, it's also silky and soft.
If you only have waves I wouldn't recommend spending a fortune on an expensive straightener. You probably want one with a wide paddle, reaches high heat, and wont snag hair. Metal snags hair. I use Jilbere de paris. I have the tourmaline series.I keep my volume but my hair stays beautifully straight until I wash it again. They are relatively inexpensive and they work so well. If you around any ';Sallys beauty'; they can be found there as well as on the web.
Are you open to getting your hair permanently straightened (w/chemical) by a professional?
You'd probably still need to touch up your hair with a ';flat-iron'; straightener but it would go a lot faster and give you better results.
I use the professional grade flat-iron by FHI. Its a bit pricey but produces great results and it will last a long time. My first flat-iron was a Conaire and it broke in %26lt; than 2 years.
Good luck!
I would say to get a chi ( they are about $115 and you can get it at Target or Sephorra or Ulta) They are very well made ( I have had mine for over 2yrs and use it EVERY day and I have never had a problem with it! Plus it comes with a great warranty!!! It is also very healthy for your hair! It uses ions which seal the cuticle instead of frying it! But always remeber to use some sort of product to protect the hair!
Take it from a girl who has used EVERY straightener out there!
Don't use the cheap ones. They are cheap for a reason!
trust me, I tried all the cheap ones. I then bought the ';Solia'; iron from www.folica.com
It was good, but it still took a while to straighten.
I then bought the ';Sedu';
IT IS AMAZING!
All i have to do is go over my hair ONE TIME and it stays straight for a week! I have long unmanageable curly hair, and this is amazing! It also is a ceramic iron with heat control so it is less likely to damage your hair
Also, The Chi (which people will say to get) breaks down after a few months. I have had my Sedu for over 2 years, and it's still working like new.
So go to www.folica.com and type in the ';Sedu'; and fine the right size. It is expensive, but trust me, IT IS SO WORTH IT!
Oh and btw, Conair made my hair very frizzy. I dont know what the heck these girls are talking about. Look at the reviews online. Sedu is a 5 star straightener, all the celebs use it for a reason!
I have uber curly and thick hair so I go to Sally's. I have tried Conair but it made my hair more frizzy than anything since it never got hot enough to smooth the hair folicle. My current hair straightener gets up to 400 degrees. I would suggest going into a beauty supply shop or even your hair dresser and ask them. They have experience and can tell you what heat level you would need. After that just look for one that goes to that heat. If Conair does - you are lucky and I am jealous! LOL! Good luck!
i.s.o its the best.. i use it and its a professional straightener...isn't that expensive either
hope i helped=D
CHI is the best straightner out there. It's what I use and it does wonders.

No matter which brand you go with, the best straighteners will be ceramic.
Conair seems to be very good and CHI is the best it seems. They may be expensive but I would invest in an expansive one so that you won't damage your hair
