What would happen if you used hair straighteners on afro hair?

i know it's a stupid question, but i can't help wondering. and if i put this into the Hair section, i'd probably get eggs chucked at me so i'm posting it here :)What would happen if you used hair straighteners on afro hair?

If you do make sure you use a very good straightening balm and heat protection spray or cream, just do a little section at the back to see how it looks and only take small section at a time, also use good quality straightners like GHDs.
