Are Hair Straighteners that go hottest the best?

how hot should hair straighteners go? and are the ones that are hottest the best ones.

I've got GHDs but i've realised their not actually that hot and it takes me ages to straighten my long thick hair! should i get hotter, cheaper ones? Are Hair Straighteners that go hottest the best?
I use Remington S9900 Gold Nano, They go up to 230 degrees. Its just rumoured GHD are the best because of the brand name, any straighteners with ceramic plates will do just a good a job, a friend of mine had GHD's and they stopped working after only a few months, also try using a straightening balm with your straighteners, it can make a lot of difference. Hope ive helped you xAre Hair Straighteners that go hottest the best?
to get the straight effect you desire you can use ANY type of CERAMIC style straigthening iron. It doesn't matter how hot it gets. I suppose it may a little but if you have a lot of hair, and/or thick hair, you should take smaller portions and straighten it. If I an offer ANY ADVICE to you -- make sure you use something that protects your hair, otherwise you will pay for it in the long run.
They vary, BUT I have a straightener from conair, I got it at walmart and it works great! it gets up to 375 degrees. It was $21 dollars and worth every penny. You can go and get really expensive ones at salons, but i've found that they cheaper ones from conair work just as good!! : ) hope i've helped
The hotter ones are not necessarily better. GHDs are the best, I'm afraid. Try leaving them to warm up longer before using them. Even if they are hotter, the cheaper ones are cheaper because they aren't as good. I can't give you a scientific explanation to that I'm afraid.

Good luck :)
It depends on the type of hair you have. If you have thick, coarse hair then you'll need a very hot one. I got one at Target for like $30 that goes up to 400 and it straightens my SUPER thick, coarse, dry curly hair really well. If you have thin hair, a super hot one will only hurt you hair. Good luck!
GHD's are one of the best so your gna find it hard to find better ones cheaper
straightners by nicky clarke go up to 230. i think ghds are only 210 or something
